Study Links Filtration to Improved Microvascular Function
A team of scientists from Denmark and Sweden discovered that indoor air polluted with tiny particles that are breathed in and get into the bloodstream affected the performance of blood vessels, and potentially increased the risk of cardiovascular disease, in elderly people. When the air quality was improved using filters, their blood vessels worked much better.

ASHRAE Publishes Airplane Cabin Air Quality Standard
ASHRAE has published Standard 161-2007, Air Quality Within Commercial Aircraft. The standard covers issues such as temperature, cabin pressure, air contaminants, and ventilation rates. It is intended to be voluntarily adopted by individual airlines or the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), or advocated for by airline passenger and employee groups. Methods of testing are provided to ensure compliance with the standard’s requirements. The standard applies to commercial passenger air-carrier aircraft carrying 20 or more passengers.

What is GREEN
What strategies will actually have a positive affect on our environment versus just making a lot of noise? How to sort through all the product claims - seems like everything all of a sudden is ‘GREEN’. A corporate initiative to promote Environmental Responsibility, Sustainability or Green Building certification can create a great deal of confusion - what steps are needed to accomplish the stated initiative and which products can help in achieving the these goals. All the confusing rhetoric and product claims have made it even more difficult to determine what strategy should be implemented. The purpose of this guide is to provide some basic and clear guidance on how filtration can help achieve these corporate initiatives.
So ... What does GREEN
mean?
Unfortunately there is no clear, easy answer. So the first step is to define what GREEN means to your corporate initiative. Depending upon your definition of GREEN and how the corporate goals for Sustainability are defined - this will determine the course of action that is needed.
Some common goals are LEED CERTIFICATION, RECYCLED CONTENT/RECYCLABLE PRODUCTS, BUYING FROM VENDORS THAT PRACTICE WHAT THEY PREACH.
