Fewer Americans are smoking, CDC finds
The number of adults in the United States who smoke declined by about 1.5%, or 3 million people, from 2005 to 2010, according to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The CDC also found that the number of habitual smokers – those who light up 30 or more cigarettes a day - dropped from 13% in 2005 to 8% in 2010.

Back To Basics - What is a micron?
A micron is a metric unit of length equal to one millionth of a meter or 1/25,400 of an inch – if you are like me - that did not help much except to tell you it is really small. The diagram (CLICK ON READ MORE LINK AND GO TO PAGE 3) is of a human hair that is 150 microns in diameter and the black dot in the bottom represents 0.3 micron. Typically all particles below 20 microns are invisible - which is below the line of sight.
